West Hartford Public Library-Main Branch-Closing for Renovations

The Noah Webster Library, the main branch of the West Hartford Public Library located at 20 South Main Street, will close for renovation and expansion following regular hours on Friday, September 1, 2006. Work is expected to take about one year. All regular library services will be available seven days a week at both the Faxon and Bishops Corner branch libraries during the time the main building is closed.

Both the Bishops Corner and Faxon libraries will be open the following hours beginning September 5, 2006:

Mon.- Fri. 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Sat. 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sun. 1 a.m. - 5 p.m.

These expanded hours will continue through the entire renovation period.

The main telephone number for the West Hartford Public Library will remain 860-561-6950. The branches may also be dialed directly at 860-561-8200 (Faxon Branch) or 860-561-8210 (Bishops Corner Branch).
